My interest in health and fitness
started at an early age when
playing and competing in a number
of sports. My fascination with
the human body and how it functions
was reinforced after completing
a BSc in Fitness Science in 1999.
Shortly after graduation I decided
to become a Personal Trainer
and qualified through the American
College of Sports Medicine and
NASM (National Academy of Sports
Medicine), which gave basic skills
into working with typically healthy
clients. However, I soon came
to question whether there was
actually such a thing as a typically
‘healthy' client! I found that
an average client would display
symptoms or have a history of
back, neck, knee, hip pain/injury,
high cholesterol and blood pressure,
sleep problems…the list was endless!
I consider
myself
very
lucky
to have
been
introduced
to the
CHEK
Institute.
The
beauty
of the
CHEK
approach
is its
tools
of assessment
that
provide
a systematic
approach,
which
gives
valuable
information
and provides
a ‘roadmap'
towards
aiding
recovery
and to
improving
health
and vitality -
ultimately
gaining
results.

I
see
myself
as
a
coach
and
therefore education is an integral
part of the client taking control
of their situation. I try and
balance my 1:1 sessions between
education, empowerment and fun.
I specialise in fusing Exercise,
Nutrition and Lifestyle factors
to help improve client's bodily
function. Working with me you
can develop your true potential,
whether it is looking, moving
or feeling better!
Other
than
my
work
at
Keston
and
in
the
Bromley
area
I
work
within
a
Physiotherapy
clinic
in
Sevenoaks
where
I
carry
out ‘End
Phase
Rehabilitation'
(Corrective
Exercise).
I
am
also
working
with
Kent
Cricket
Club.
My
interests/hobbies
away
from
work
include
keeping
fit
and
playing
sport,
in
particular
playing
cricket
for
Sevenoaks
Vines.
Cooking
and
entertaining
are
a massive
part
of
my
life's
enjoyment
and
I have
a keen
musical
interest
both
listening
and
playing.
